Our youngest daughter wanted to know what she could make for our Thanksgiving dinner.
After thinking for a minute I suggested an appetizer that I had seen on Pinterest.
Knowing our youngest, I was sure that she would stress over her assigned duty, but Gina and her husband, Tyson, made the perfect healthy turkey. It is very easy to make and you can use any vegetable that you prefer. This is not only good for Thanksgiving but I think it would work great for a potluck and delight all who participate.
We are not fancy schmancy people, but I do like to pretty up the table, using as many decorative items that I have in the house so I don’t have to spend more money than I need too.
Hope your Thanksgiving was spent with your loved ones as mine was♥♥♥♥
Hubby and I are usually the last to try new trends or fads whether it’s food or clothes. About 2 months ago I decided to try making smoothies and we both decided that they tasted good and were refreshing.
Instead of cooking breakfast, I make smoothies for us in my old blender, no fancy machine here, but it works fine. We have them at least 2 0r 3 times a week.
Our favorite is the strawberries and bananas. I always use frozen bananas and just change up the fruit. My recipe is as follows:
1 1/2 frozen banana
about 8 strawberries, fresh or you can freeze your fruit ( or you can decide how much fruit you want in it).
1 cup yogurt ( I like vanilla).
1 cup almond milk plain or vanilla flavored
about 4 ice cubes.
flax seed meal or wheat germ ( I put in about 3 tablespoons).
honey (optional) you can decide the amount
Blend all together.
This makes enough for 2 16 oz. servings.
Pour, serve and enjoy.♥♥♥♥
I am not a dietician, so I’m not sure what the calorie amount is, or the nutrition information, but this definitely works for us.
Thank you for stopping by.♥
