Are we ready for October? Well the stores have by passed fall and are getting ready for Christmas. I’m still in fall mode and trying to get ready for a craft show.
I’ve been sewing in between water polo games, tennis matches, and soccer games that our grandkids have been busy with.
I finished another apron and some dish towels, along with little zipper pouches.
The pattern for the little pouches was taken from a blog, Melly Sews, which said that they only took 15 minutes to sew. Well I’m not good with written instructions and the very first one I made took me half day.
With persistence I am now down to about 25 minutes. These are great to keep your purse organized.
A Dia de los Muertos pillow for decorating.
The apron is a real simple one to sew.
And last but not least my dishtowel in fall colors.
Sew you see, I have been very busy. Having to sew many more things will keep me busy all month long.
Slowly but surely I have been making some items for a craft show that takes place in November. So I have two months to sew, sew, and sew some more.
I love my new apron.
My hubby took a picture of me wearing it so that I could model it for this post, but for some reason the mannequin looked better.
I used McCalls Easy stitch ‘n save pattern M9038 for the bodice and did my own thing for the skirt. It was sew easy.
Clutch purses are a favorite item to make using an old Kwick Sew pattern 3700 , that I bought a few years back.
Easy patterns are a must, I don’t like complicated projects.
This one is good for a date night.
So much more needs to be made, but I will continue to sew at my own pace.
