butterfly

I like to pretend that this butterfly comes every year to visit me.  It seems that I always just see one butterfly in the summer.  There are never two or three, just this one that floats from  flower to flower.

In any case I usually chase it around my garden until I get a good picture of it.

There is a small white butterfly that comes to visit me,  but it moves too quickly for me to capture it with my phone camera.

P.S. Just got back from Texas.  I will share on my blog some of the sites I visited next time.❤️💜❤️💜

vinca flowers

My barrel of  Vinca plants are my go to flowers for the summer.  They are so easy to take care of.

Just water and they bloom all summer long.  I also love that they come in so many different colors.❤️💜❤️💜

Once again I have been missing from blogland because of life and because I just felt like I had nothing to blog about.

My flowers are florishing.  Weeds have taken much of my time and sewing has taken a back seat.

I did finish an apron for one of my nieces, who specifically asked for an apron with a kitchen towel in the body of the apron so she could wipe her hands while cooking, plus she wanted fabric with chili peppers on it.

Now I’m working on an order for 8 utility aprons, which need to be done by the 15th of June.

The aprons are made from recycled jeans which means I get to use those jeans that I have saved for years.  It’s so satisfying to finally make use of them.

Hopefully I’ll have more time for my blog now that it’s summer.
